It was the fall of 1972 and I was in my first semester at the Kansas City Art Institute.  I would hitchhike downtown with friends Bill or Steve to play pinball and hang out at Wonderland.

Twice I brought along my camera. Since we had been there so many times before, and people knew we were from “The Art School,” nobody thought it was weird that I was taking pictures.

Now over 50 years later,
these pictures are a flashback to the time when Wonderland was
